These terms and conditions (“the Terms”) govern the users (“you” or “your”) use of the website https://www.thecurlcoach.com (“the Website”) and your relationship with The Curl Coach Ltd (“we”, “our” or “us”). Please read them carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under law. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not access or use the Website. PRICINGS

 

All prices shown are inclusive of VAT at the current rates and are correct at the time of entering the information onto the system. We reserve the right, however, to change prices at any time without notice to you. This does not affect appointments that have been booked and the deposit paid.

The content of the Website is protected by copyright, trademarks, database and other intellectual property rights and you acknowledge that the material and content supplied as part of the Website shall remain with us or our licensors.

 

You may retrieve and display the content of the Website on a computer screen, store such content in electronic form on disk (but not any server or other storage device connected to a network) or print one copy of such content for your own personal, non-commercial use, provided you keep intact all and any copyright and proprietary notices. Whilst we will try to ensure that material included on the Website is correct, reputable and of high quality, we cannot accept responsibility if this is not the case. We will not be responsible for any errors or omissions or for the results obtained from the use of such information or for any technical problems you may experience with the Website. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and any disputes will be decided only by the English courts.

 

REVIEWS

 

If you submit a review, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content throughout the world in any media.

 

You grant thecurlcoach.com and its sub-licensees the right to use the name that you submit in connection with such content if they choose.

 

You agree to waive your right to be identified as the author of such content and your right to object to derogatory treatment of such content.

 

You agree to perform all further acts necessary to perfect any of the above rights granted by you to The Curl Coach Ltd, including the execution of deeds and documents, at the request of The Curl Coach Ltd

 

You represent and warrant that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to the content that you post; that, as at the date that the content or material is submitted to thecurlcoach.com:

Use of the content and material you supply does not breach any applicable thecurlcoach.com guidelines and will not cause injury to any person or entity (including that the content or material is not defamatory). SALON POLICY 

 

PLEASE THOROUGHLY READ THE POLICY BELOW  before your appointment. 

Due to the beautifully unique and individual nature of curly hair, you may not receive instant results. It's all dependant on the condition of your hair. My methods take time.  like a fine wine or an exercise plan: time and effort are essential to achieving that "rare vintage", "beach body" and...your hair goals!

 

Please come with an open mind and patience. If you follow the recommended methods and allow adequate time, the results you can achieve can be truly amazing!

 

APPOINTMENTS


Online booking with a 50% deposit is required to secure all appointments.

 

Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult not receiving a service. Additionally,  minors are not allowed to accompany on appointments whilst a parent/guardian is receiving a service.  Failure to comply with our requests will result in being charged the full cost of your service for that day and asked to reschedule.  

 

Please do not bring guests with you to your appointment.  This includes spouses, friends and children.   As a freelancer, the salons I work from are not designed to accommodate more people than I have scheduled to attend an appointment. Only parents/guardians accompanying minors receiving services will be permitted to remain in the salon.  

 

Ideally, for your first appointment, In order to fully understand your curls, I recommend you arrive with your hair as near to 'natural' as possible:

  • Please avoid putting your hair in a high or tight ponytail, plaits or twists prior to your appointment as these types of styles disrupt your curl pattern.

  • Freshly washed & dried with no product is ideal. This will allow me to properly assess your hair in its natural state without the masking effect products have.*This is not a prerequisite, but extremely helpful to me and beneficial for you and your curls.

  • At a minimum, I kindly request that you wash your hair at least 7 days before your appointment. Hair that is assessed to be excessively dirty will not allow for a proper assessment and may result in a forfeiture of part of the appointment as we may runover the allocated time.​ **Kinky textured curls can use the banding method and a light waterbased leave-in conditioner to avoid tangles & matting.

  • Please avoid using heavy oils and butters such as castor oil and shea butter before your appointment.

Tender headed, nervous in the salon environment? 

Please get in touch via email at salon@thecurlcoach.com so we can discuss any ways we can  make your visit as comfortable as possible ahead of time.

Heavily tangled or matted curls? 

Additional fees will apply to clients with matted heavily tangled hair.

  • If you have not brushed, combed your hair in several weeks,

  • If you are unable to easily touch your scalp due to the matting of your hair causing an obstruction

  • If your hair has begun to form into unintentional locs that you are unable to detangle

  • If you feel that you have great difficulty in combing or brushing or finger detangling your hair

Please get in touch via email at salon@thecurlcoach.com so we can discuss any issues with tangles, matting or locing ahead of time.

Arriving with hair that is heavily tangled or beginning to unintentionally form locs, or hair considered to be heavily soiled, dirty or not washed within the last 10 days? Unfortunately, your appointment may  be cancelled and the 50% booking deposit re-assigned as a cancellation fee.

 

 

 

CANCELLATIONS & LATENESS 


If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment we kindly ask that you do so 48 hours before your appointment time.

  • Appointments cannot be cancelled less than 48 hours before the appointment.  

  • If you do not attend your appointment, the 50% booking deposit will be re-assigned as a cancellation fee.

  • To cancel or reschedule your appointment, please log on to our online booking system by clicking the link in your booking confirmation email and follow instructions to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Emails, Instagram DM's or Facebook Messages will not be accepted.

  • We kindly request that you arrive to your appointment ontime.

    • We offer a 15 minute grace period  for any eventualities, however at this point the content of your booked service may be altered to accomadate the allocated time remaining.

    • This may mean that you do not recieve the latter elements of the service such as the haircut if doing so would severly impact the start time and and experiance of the client booked after you.

    • If you are over 15 minutes late to your appointment, the 50% booking deposit will be re-assigned as a cancellation fee.

DAMAGED HAIR 


If you have hair that has been damaged due to a relaxer, texturizer, keratin treatment, colour, heat, extensions, braids or neglect.  We will do all that we can to help you transition into healthy hair.  We here to help! Please be patient and understand that it can take several visits and haircuts to reach your Hair Goals.  

 

CONDITIONING TREATMENTS

Conditioning Treatments are intended as a boost for hair that is either already healthy or hair that had endured minimal damage 

We can't repair hair that has been severely damaged by chemical treatments such as relaxers texturizers, keratin treatments, colour,  or mechanical damage such as excessive heat, wearing extensions or braids for an extended or continuous period of time, general neglect or clinical/trichological issues.  


 

SERVICE GUARANTEE
 
All services are non-refundable.

If you have an issue with your service please follow the instructions below and we'd be happy to try and solve any issues you may have.
If the service that was agreed upon in the consultation was not technically executed to your standards please inform your stylist at the time of your appointment. Or send an email directly to salon@thecurlcoach.com within 24 hours. A service will be scheduled within 7-10  days for an adjustment.

Notifications after 24 hours are not eligible for complementary restyles. No refunds will be given on any services.

 

RETURN POLICY


We do not accept opened or used products. Unopened products with intact seals will receive a full refund within 21 days of our receiving of the returned product . Please email curlstore@thecurlcoach.com  to notify of your return and for delivery instructions. Any return requests after this point are null and void.
