Tight Curl Pro Education is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge to confidently and effectively work with Afro-textured hair which we lovingly refer to as “tightly curled" or "tightly coiled hair” creating stunning, healthy and long-lasting results.

You will learn about the culture of tight curls and the science of curly hair. The different types of curls and their characteristics within this segment of the texture spectrum. As well as texture-specific cutting and styling techniques, product recommendations and tips for maintenance.

Your experienced instructor will guide you through the process and provide you with both theoretical and practical, hands-on training that you can apply to elevate your professional career.

We promise a friendly and exciting learning environment that will help you expand your skills and build confidence in working with tightly curled hair. This class will not only enhance your hairdressing skills but also provide you with an opportunity to build lasting relationships with other professionals in the industry.

The course is structured into three phases:

Phase One, you will have the opportunity to participate in a self-paced digital class that focuses on introducing you to the theory and science of tight curls.

Phase Two is an intimate look-and-learn class where your instructors will provide live demonstrations of the concepts covered in phase one.

Phase Three is focused on hands-on practice. Working with a diverse range of models featuring varying curl patterns within the tight curl spectrum. This phase is designed to allow you to hone your skills and put what you've learned into practice.

With the distinctive combination of the lived experience of possessing tight curls and professional experience of working with hair across the texture spectrum whilst behind the chair, Fola founder of The Curl Coach has a uniquely deep understanding of curly hair.
